2018 Warm Up and Serve Soup Drive

On the 15th August 2018 Women’s Legal Service (SA) hosted our first ever Soup Drive:
With the support from the Public café who allowed us to set up on their sidewalk we were able to reach our target in donations.

It is a wonderful exercise to warm up the heart and intellect before reading the Quran. Our souls gain from non-secular education, just as our bodies require stretching before exercise. Deeper understanding and connection can be established by setting the stage with a few quiet moments spent mirroring, doing du'a, or reciting a brief Surah. It's amazing how much more meaningful the experience will be when we're given the Quran virtually.
